Reading and TV Roundup

Not a lot of knitting going on here right now. I've been doing some catching up on reading and watching the new tv shows on TIVO. Here's a report.

I've been reading:

Cooking For Mr. Latte by Amanda Hesser: This was a good read that written while Hesser was dating her now husband. It includes recipes, some original, some family favorites, and some borrowed from other cookbooks, that they ate during their "courtship". I must buy this, if only to get my hands on some of the recipes.

Something Blue
by Emily Giffin: This is the sequel to Something Borrowed, which I loved and read in one day last summer. I did the same with this one too. In Something Borrowed, Rachel falls in love with her best friend Darcy's fiance. Something Blue picks up after the fallout and tells Darcy's story. Good chick lit.

Next up on the reading list, Candace Bushnell's Lipstick Jungle and Jennifer Weiner's Goodnight, Nobody. I am keeping the reading light these days. Speaking of Weiner, I cannot wait to see In Her Shoes. The reviews of it have been good. I wonder how it will compare to the book, which was great.

Here's what I've been watching:

Lost (J. and I are both hooked.)
Grey's Anatomy (love love this show)
The Office (It's painful watching this, but funny at the same time.)
My Name is Earl (So far pretty funny.)
Joey (I think it is somewhat improved this year. Definitely not Friends, but watchable)

What are you reading and watching?

I liked Something Borrowed more than Something Blue, but both were enjoyable! I cannot wait for tomorrow - a group of my girlfriends are going to see In Her Shoes - I hope it's as good as they are saying it is!

Right now I'm reading business books (I'm opening my own business this spring). Boring, but necessary.

I haven't really found a show that I enjoy. I do Tivo Knitty Gritty on DIY. Love it!
