I learned to chain today!

One of my co-workers crochets so she showed me how to chain during lunch. It definitely felt a little awkward, but I am excited to be learning how to crochet now.

Right now, I am in kind of in a knitting rut, after having finished 2 scarves last week. I'm still working on my weekend warrior sweater. The back is done, and I am working my way through the front. At the rate I am going, it's more like a month long warrior. Yesterday I started on a washcloth for my mom with Crystal Palace Cotton Chenille, which is so so soft. The Washington, D.C. Capital Knit-Out & Crochet is this Sunday, and I hope to attend. Maybe that will inspire me.

Way to go Mel! The more fibery stuff you learn, the better I say!

hey cool! i want to learn to crochet eventually too! (all i can do is that foundational chain and that's about it) =)
as for the DC knit out, lucky you! have lots of fun! i find that sometimes i'm in a rut, i do a small project (one that gives lots of immediate gratification) and that usually helps me get going for the bigger projects later. have fun!!
