Blocking (the) Big Bad Baby Blanket

Isn't that nice alliteration? Try saying that five times fast. It's turned out bigger than the dimensions in Stitch n Bitch (I still have a lot to learn about gauge.) and there is some evidence of rowing out (a newly learned term to add to my knitting vocabulary), but I still like it. I just can't believe it is finally done. Woohoo. I love the seed stitch border, and how the squares all meet in the middle of the blanket.

The weather has been been nearly perfect here in the DC area - we've been able to turn off the a/c and just leave the windows open. I love this time of year, especially as fall gets closer. We had a bbq last night with some friends, and J's friend from Seattle was visiting - good company, food, and conversation.

The blanket looks great!

Could you send some of that nice weather down here to Houston. It's miserable.

It turned out great! And what's a knit if you didn't learn something from it?
